Privacy Policy

1Overview

Pak Properties ("the App", "we", "us") is a mobile marketplace that lets people in Pakistan list, discover, rent, and sell residential, commercial, industrial, and plot properties, and connect with local service providers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using Pak Properties, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2Information We Collect

2.1 Account information

• Full name
• Email address (if you sign up with email) or phone number (if you sign up with a phone/OTP)
• Profile photo (optional)
• Account role — buyer, seller, or both

2.2 Property listing content

• Property photos and videos you upload
• Property title, description, price, size, address, city, and area
• Approximate or exact location (latitude/longitude) if you choose to add it to a listing
• Your phone number and WhatsApp number, so interested buyers/tenants can contact you

2.3 Communication data

• Chat messages you send to other users through the in-app Messages feature
• Community room messages, if you join a city-based community chat
• Ratings and written reviews you give to, or receive from, other users
• Visit-request details (property, requested date/time slot, and any notes you add)

If you boost a listing, you submit a bank transfer transaction ID / reference number that you receive from your own bank after making the transfer. We store this reference number to manually verify your payment. We do not collect or store your bank account number, card number, CVV, or online banking credentials — the transfer itself happens through your own bank's app, entirely outside Pak Properties.

3Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following infrastructure providers to operate the App. These providers act as our data processors — they store or process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments.

4How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To publish, display, and let others search your property listings
• To enable direct contact between buyers/tenants and sellers (chat, WhatsApp, call)
• To process visit requests and boost/ad-promotion requests
• To calculate a seller's Trust Score and average rating from other users' feedback
• To send you notifications about messages, visit requests, boost status, and important updates
• To detect abuse, spam, or fraudulent listings, and enforce our community guidelines
• To improve app performance and fix bugs

5Who Can See Your Information

• Other users can see your name, profile photo, verification badge, rating, and any listings you post publicly, along with the phone/WhatsApp number you provide on that listing.
• Chat participants can see the messages you send them in a conversation.
• Community room members can see messages you post in that room.
• We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pak Properties, our users, or the public.

6Payments & Ad Boosts

Boosting a property listing currently uses manual bank transfer. You transfer funds to the bank account shown in the App, then submit the transaction reference number for our team to verify. We do not process card payments and do not integrate a third-party payment gateway at this time. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

7Notifications

We send push notifications for new chat messages, visit request updates, boost approval status, and similar activity related to your account. You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings.

8Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Firebase's and Supabase's cloud infrastructure, which include industry-standard security controls such as encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access-controlled databases. Access to your account data is restricted through authentication and server-side security rules, so that only you can edit your own profile and listings, and only conversation participants can read a given chat.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9Data Retention & Deletion

• We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active.
• If you delete a listing, its data and images are removed from active storage.
• If you want your account and associated personal data deleted entirely, email us at the address in the Contact Us section with your registered phone number or email, and we will process the deletion within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

10Your Rights & Choices

• Access & correction — you can view and edit your profile and listings directly in the App at any time.
• Deletion — you can delete individual listings yourself, or request full account deletion (see Section 9).
• Language — you can switch between English and Urdu at any time from the App.
• Notifications — you can turn off push notifications from your device settings.
• Contact permission — sharing your phone/WhatsApp number on a listing is optional, but required for buyers to be able to reach you about that listing.

11Children's Privacy

Pak Properties is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves — for example, if we add a new payment gateway or a new storage provider. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
